this is for lindsay...

well, today i received a "not so subtle" e-mail to notify me that i've been lacking in the blogging department. 

well linds, it takes one to know one. i mean, you're in ENGLAND and have much more exciting things to blog about than i do!! nevertheless, here i am.

here's a little picture of lindsay and me when she still lived on the same continent as me. and it was also back when my hair was uber short. NOW do you believe me that it's grown so much?!

this weekend we had visitors!! our fun friends hayden and erica came in from houston to spend the weekend with us and to attend an engagement party. it was loads of fun. friday night was spent in the company of hamburgers, homemade strawberry margaritas and LOTS of laughs. you'll be amazed to know that i even stayed awake until midnight. wild, i know.

saturday night we headed out to gruene for brett and jenna's engagement party. it too was loads of fun.

the part that was really loads of fun was the part where we were 30 minutes late because neither of the "navigators" were looking for an exit. mike made me so proud. he pulled over and hayden said, "what are you doing?" mike replied with. "i'm stopping to ask for directions." be still my heart. mike, after all these years, you never fail to make me proud. 10 minutes later were were celebrating the to-be-marrieds with fajitas and guacamole.

have i already told you that we're teaching the 4 year olds at church? they are SO super cute. i know you aren't supposed to have favorites, but i do. her name: abigail. her game: saying darling and hilarious things.

this week she showed up with her stuffed kitty in hand. when i asked what kitty's name was, do you think i was shocked when she said, "her name is precious." do you know how much it made my week to hear my 6'4" husband say, "abby, do you and precious need help decorating your tree?" uh, yeah. pretty much the cutest thing ever. mike even got to hold precious...on more than one occasion.

work is really starting to pick up steam. our new holiday catalogs hit mailboxes today and the store had the beginnings of the holiday buzz today. i just love the holidays at the store. all the craziness usually results in the day flying by. it also means that i don't stuff my face all day. and i mean, who doesn't love that? did YOU get your fun holiday catalog today? if not, stay tuned :) there are lots of wonderful mippylicious goods available at your fingertips. for your viewing pleasure, i have the website linked over there -> 

well, mike just got home from school. remember how he's taking TWENTY-ONE hours this semester?! yeah, it's nuts. countdown to graduation: 8 months!
